Born in Liverpool, Jonathan was the son of Group Commander Lieutenant Edward Harrison and his wife Dorothy. He married Jean Bradbury and they had 4 children.
He was awarded a place at Corpus Christi College in Oxford in late 1942 so it is assumed he left the Patrol but may have returned over holiday time.
