Biography
The son of William Dewar. John married Audrey Patrick after the war. Jock was recruited from the Home Guard which he joined 20 June 1940.
He died while living in staff cottages at Glenfrith Hospital, Leicester.

John's son Gordon has his father's Home Guard certificate, two stand down letters sent out by Colonel Douglas, which were sent to all Auxiliers. He also has a wonderful letter of thanks from Group Commander Lieutenant Bill Ground. They can be seen here.
