In November 2013 Margam Auxilier Dillwyn Thomas marched at the Cenotaph for the first time. Dillwyn Thomas who during his long life, owned, bred and trained many point-to-point winners has been centre stage in his role as a Royal Welsh Agricultural Honorary Director in horses main ring, display and commentaries.
Charles, as Prince of Wales, presented him with a Silver Armada dish to mark his retirement. The Queen presented him with the RWAS Life Vice Presidency in 2004.

Farm worker
Dillwyn recalled he managed to keep hold of his revolver after stand down but handed it in years later during an arms amnesty.
