Biography
Bond was the Patrol Sergeant of Bridgerule Patrol. The son of Samuel and Linda Bond he married Clara Barrett in 1931.

Austin Bond; "My father Walter Bond was the original member and organiser of the Unit. He had served in the First World War, was keen on shooting, did a bit of poaching and knew the local area extremely well. I was born in 1934 and although quite young at the outbreak of war have clear recollections of the Unit."
