Eddie Shaw was originally in Beverley North Patrol but at stand down was in Beverley South. He went to the Isle of Wight as part of the island garrison with the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Auxiliary Units for the second phase of the D-Day invasion mid June to July 1944.
