Signalman Thomas Leslie "Tommy" Booth

Biography
Tommy Booth was the son of a Stationmaster. He had been born in Sudbury, Harrow in London, but the family moved several times as his father was promoted, until in the 1930s they came to Grimsby where the London and North Eastern Railway also owned the docks. Tommy shared a home with his father in 1939 and worked as a clerk in the Coal Department at the docks. He had married Frances Ethel Waller in 1935 and had two children by the time war broke out.
