Career
Ron joined the Wiltshire Regiment in late 1940. It is not known exactly when he joined the Scout Section.
In January 1944 he signed up for the SAS along with several other members of his Scout Section.
Other information
After the war he lived in Port Talbot and played cricket for the Port Talbot Corporation team. In the 1957 he emigrated to Queensland, Australia with his family. Early in 1944 he married Phyllis E Breeds at Battle in Sussex. Phyllis lived at 3 Stonework Cottages in Rye Harbour whilst Ron was still serving. They had three children.
