Joined Royal Navy Forces 18th April 1943. He became Temporary Midshipman 5th August 1943, then Temporary Sub-Lieutenant in Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve 27th June 1944. He served with Landing Craft Tanks on D-Day then Landing Craft Infantry in the Far East.
At the time of a reunion in January 1950 he is living at 12a High Wickham, Hastings, Sussex
