Biography
Robert was sent to Coleshill for training along with Auxilier Bill Pentecost. In July 2000 he still had two copies of his stand down letters and a copy of a group photograph showing 6 Patrol members. His daughter Janet recalled he did tell stories of his time in the Patrol and even took them to the second OB site which was still fairly intact.

The son of Thomas and Catherine Lewarne. He married Vera C Williams in 1944.
His future father-in-law (Mr Williams) was machine gunned to death by a German aircraft 6th August 1942 while at work at Truro train station. The same raid killed many in Truro hospital.
