Biography

Mary married Reverend John F O S Graham, the younger brother of ATS Gertrude Graham and son of Reverend Christopher Graham, Rector of Cheddon Fitzpaine Church and his wife Gertrude (Nee Russell), in Surrey 23 Jan 1951. They met when he was mowing the grass around her dugout.

Her father, Major General Ernest Wright Alexander, was one of the first to gain the Victoria Cross in WW1. The family moved from India to Ireland, Mary was the youngest of 4 and was born in Hampshire.
