Biography

Jack Dalby worked at Broomhill Colliery but left in 1955 as he developed a weak chest. He went to work on a road gang for Northumberland County Council and he was involved in an accident where he was crushed between two lorries. He survived and was nursed back to health at Ashington Hospital but was unable to work again. He died in 2008.
