Monty Slightam's brother Jack was Patrol Leader of the Brockenhurst Patrol. According to his son Jim, he was a member of Auxiliary Units. He does not appear on the nominal roll for the Hampshire Patrols, though this does not include anyone leaving before mid 1942. It is possible that he had been recruited to the Special Duties branch of Auxiliary Units as no nominal roll of members was kept. In the absence of additional information he has been allocated to both his nearest Patrol in Burley and the nearest Special Duties outstation at Setley in case this brings more details to light.
He married Kathleen R Hooper in 1923. They had three children including Jim.
