Career
He joined H.M Forces April 1943. He was enlisted in the Royal Artillery, serving as a Gunner with 162 Heavy Antiaircraft (HAA) Regiment. It appears that he only received the 1939-45 Star, not the Defence Medal despite having over 4 years combined service by the end of the war. He had even mentioned his Hants HG (Auxiliary Units) service on his application card for the medals.
