Reverend Humphrey Barclay was Rector here on two occasions, returning after being Domestic Chaplain to his Majesty King George 6th from 1940 until 1946 . He was also Domestic Chaplain to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2nd in 1952.

Chaplain to Windsor Park
A WW1 veteran in Royal Army Chaplains Department. He was awarded a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in 1946 and a Military Cross in 1918. His WW1 Medal Index card states theatre of war France, entered 1 Dec 1914. Issued 1915 Star, War and Victory medal plus MID Emblem. His citation states " For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in action. He assisted the wounded and administered to the dying with utter disregard of danger. He set a splendid example to all ranks". He didn't apply for his medals till 1928.
