Harry Lee was well known as the proprietor of Lee’s Garage in Bishop’s Waltham. He had been a motorcycle messenger for the ARP at the start of the war. In 1929 he had been summoned for speeding in a dangerous manner in Wickham Road. He was working as a plumber at that time.
Harry and Sid Lee, along with Sid Shorney had all been part of the ARP organisation and so knew each other from before the war.
