Other information

She was the daughter of Reverend Christopher Graham OBE, Rector of Cheddon Fitzpaine Church and former Royal Navy Chaplin and his wife Gertrude Russell. She married Reverend Robert "Edward" Marsden 16 Feb 1944 in the Parish Church of Cheddon, the couple then moving immediately to Norfolk. Her ATS leaving date taking a couple of months to process.

Their son, Philip recalls: "Dad and Mum met in Falmouth, where he was in his second curacy in the Parish Church.  At the time, Mum was a maritime plotter in the basement of a hotel on the sea front (quite possibly the Falmouth Hotel), so I guess she was posted from there to Cheddon.  We don’t know the date, but it was probably less than a year before her marriage.  The first I knew about her wartime work in Falmouth was when we were driving her along the sea front and she said “That’s my hotel!”. "
