His address is recorded as his work address at Nuttaberry Works, Bideford but he lived at 1 Littlabourne Terrace, Pilton (1939) then 5 Union Terrace, Barnstaple (1942).
He was the director of British Builders Distributers Ltd.
Gerald Slee, along with H.S Joyce (Tawstock Patrol) were both speakers on a BBC "Country Magazine" programme in 1948.
He was, at an earlier age, a captain of the local Ruby Club and was also a keen bowler.
His family had no knowledge of his involvement. He was the son of Walter and Florence Slee, he married Joan Stanbury in 1932.
