George Davidson was the Patrol's best shot.
He went to the Isle of Wight for the first two weeks in June 1944 as part of the island garrison and did mainly night time patrols. He managed to see the fleet set off for the French coast on 6th of June.
Davidson mentioned how he went to Coleshill House with the Patrol for training and entered the famous Coleshill competitions. He said they came third and this made them all very proud.
The certificates were awarded to George Davidson. They are now at Castle Museum in Edinburgh for safe keeping.
