Corporal Frederick Charles "Charlie" Lanning
24 Mar 1905 - 11 Dec 1975
Biography
Charlie Lanning was apparently a lively character who almost blew his home up while making explosive devices on his kitchen table. Mervyn Powney recalled that just disappeared one day without explanation. The rest of the Patrol assumed he had gone on to some more exciting role. He was apparently the Patrol Corporal at the time.
The nominal roll recorded "Discharged, services no longer required 16th October 1942".
