Builder and undertaker
Sergeant Frank Strike was a builder and undertaker. A post war local councillor he was highly regarded in the community.
Frank had previously worked in mining in Scotland, and he and his young wife Davina, from Dufermline, returned to Frank's home town of Porthleven from the early 1920's. He was widowed in 1927 leaving him with 4 young children. He re-married Olive Still in 1931 and was living in Chatham in Kent in 1939 and was an ARP Warden.
In WW1 he was Sapper 880 in the Royal Engineers earning the 1915 Star and Victory & British medals having served in France from 4 Oct 1915.
