Ship draughtsman
Along with Stan Williams, he was recruited in 1942 by Captain Blishen from the regular Home Guard following a request for those to join a special unit. After an interview at the Norwich Union office by Captain Blishen and the Intelligence Officer, Captain Clive, they had to agree to join before knowing what they were letting themselves in for.
Eric Morey does not appear on Lance Corporal Riddell's list of Patrol members. However he was a Ship's draughtsman and would have been working alongside both Riddell and Casson, so it is very likely he was an early Patrol member. Stan Williams joined the Arreton Patrol and
