Originally in Admiralty 5 he transferred to Admiralty 2 to become Patrol Leader from February 1943, replacing Douglas Owen, until stand down. He was Temp Sub Lieutenant Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve 29th May 1945. He was awarded the Defence Medal. His burial took place on 3rd June 1994.
At the time of a reunion in January 1950 he is living at 54 Eastfield Road, Bath and is on the committee of 203rd GHQ Reserve (Bath Admiralty) Association
