Edward Pearce was transferred 5th March 1943 to 71st City of Bristol Home Guard Heavy Anti Aircraft unit, then Somerset TA 17 March 1943.
Although he lived in Bristol in 1939 he appears to be called up for war work in Bristol Aircraft Factory at Filton. They then disperse the factory to various locations after air raids did severe damage, one of them being near Weston Super Mare, hence he is in Sandford Levvy Patrol.
In 1939 he is in the ARP Service.
