Corporal Edward James "Jim" Wiggins

Biography
Jim Wiggins worked on the Southleigh estate of Sir Dymoke White. He was also Scoutmaster of the 1st and 2nd Havant Troops during the war.
He was one of nine children. His brother Norman was killed fighting in Italy with the Hampshire Regiment in January 1944. His mother sadly died in 1943, leaving his sister Myrtle to look after her dad and two younger children at the age of 16. Another brother, Albert James, survived the war having fought in North Africa and Italy.
