Private Denis Harold Ferens

Biography
Denis was the son of Harold and Norah Ferens. After Harold's death his mother married George Byng, 9th Viscount Torrington of Liesse, Buckfastleigh, Devon. Denis married Petronel Francis Mary Milner of Ipplepen. A newspaper account reports the couple's intention to take up residence at Ilton Manor where he would farm and breed horses. The service took place at Buckfast Abbey and there was a telegram of congratulations from the Pope.
