Remembered by Sergeant Eric Gray as one of the members of staff during his time at Coleshill House between May 1941 and April 1943
Private Delaney worked in the Orderly Room. He was a Catholic and got in trouble when he complained to the priest at Shrivenham that he was unable to attend Mass. The priest visited Coleshill House to bring up the matter. Captain Anderson was furious with Private Delaney, accusing him of giving away the secret location of their Headquarters. He arranged that Catholic soldiers could attend the 6am Mass at Shrivenham, laying on Transport that left Coleshill House at 5.30am.
