Biography
Started work at Churchman’s in Ipswich and later as a travelling salesman for the Danish Bacon Company. The latter gave him an excuse to run a small car.
Born is Shoreditch, London to Robert and Ellen. He married Bell Whayman in 1929. He joined the RAF in May 1918 but records his year of birth as 1900. He is recorded as 5 foot 3 inches tall with brown hair, hazel eyes and a sallow complexion.
