According to grand-daughter Rachael, Corben had to sleep in the OB during heightened times of invasion threat. He was paired with local butcher Ben Garrod whose name does not exist on the nominal roll and perhaps left the Patrol before this list was established in 1942.
The pair had gelignite and were tasked to blow up Wroxham Bridge and Coltishall Bridge should invasion occur.
Corben had his stand down badge and also a copy of The Countryman's Calendar.
