Biography
Charles Fisk had joined what was then the Local Defence Volunteers on 11th June 1940. He would become part of the 8th (Framlingham) Battaltion Suffolk Home Guard. He later transferred to Auxiliary Units, becoming Patrol Corporal.

He was a horseman working on Parham Farm and is remembered as a ginger haired man, in charge of six horses. He is remembered by Frank White, before the war, thundering across the field on horseback.
After his death, Charlie's family donated his Home Guard items to local Home Guard collector Darren Stride, who had known him as a customer for many years. This included his Auxiliary Units lapel badge given out at the end of the war.
