Charles P. Sykes is listed in both Beverley North and South Patrols. As Private in the Beverley North Patrol and then in 1942 as Sergeant in the Beverley South Patrol. The Patrols may have been one early in the war then split into two. He is not recorded as a Sergeant at stand down and is also recorded in the Suffolk nominal roll living in the area covered by the 8th Battalion Suffolk Home Guard.
