Biography
Bertram and Frederick E B Stephens were brothers. In 1939 he was elected as a member of the Canterbury Farmers’ Club and East Kent, Chamber of Agriculture.
He married Joan Rowbottom in Mar 1945. In thanks for a Wedding gift he provided a film show and supper for the farm workers and their children.

Other information
Stephens was issued with a Smith & Wesson revolver serial number 25806. In 1943 this was withdrawn to be reamed to accept British Pattern .38 ammunition, indicating it had previously used commercial US ammunition. However, it was found to be unserviceable by REME and replaced.
