Known as Herbert, Wilcox was the original Patrol Leader. He left Auxiliary Units February 1943.
He married Edith Joan Ellis in 1923.
In 1933 he was prosecuted for cruelty to a sheep. He had made a sheep a leather boot when it lost a foot 3 years earlier so enabling it to walk to market!
