Biography
He was a Special Constable with the Admiralty Civil Police, although they were known as Wardens until 1942. The Admiralty Civil Police provided protection to dockyards and other naval establishments not under the protection of the Royal Marine Police. He worked at the Great Western Railway's Cardiff Docks
In April 1943 he was elected captain of Dinas Powys Golf Club for the duration of the war, having been deputy captain since 1939.
