Other information

Archie would sometimes shoot left handed and he always blamed himself for the Patrol not getting into the shooting competition final as he was told to shoot right handed rather than left. He kept his machine gun under the stairs at home. After the war he moved to Hampshire near Hook where he took some left over explosives. He used some to blow up a rock that was blocking a muddy gateway and succeeded in blowing up the whole road.
