Biography
In 1939 he was still at school and living with his parents Auxilier Thomas Arthur and Blanche Cowley and his brother John Stanley Cowley who was also an Auxilier. Another brother Tom Arthur (Frank) was also an Auxilier. Anthony does not appear on the nominal roll, but is in a picture of men at Stenbury Manor with other members of the Cowley family who are all in uniform.
The family moved to Isle of Wight in 1922 from Calcutta. Two months before his father's death in 1958 he handed Dinglers Farm to his youngest son Anthony.
