In 1939 she was serving as motor driver with 2nd Hampshire Company ATS/FANY (First Aid Nursing Yeomanry).
On July 10 1942 Beatrice Temple notes in her diary; "Gunter – shattered about Scotch Corner" but not why.
Married in 1962 to Mr Ernest Dielman, she remained in what became the Women's Royal Army Corps until 20 Jan 1962.
