Career
Born Amy Dorothea Mair or Moir she married Captain Ken Ward in 1940 in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Thea Ward was recruited via her husband, Captain Ken Ward, who was helping to construct the early Special Duties Wireless Network. She was one of the earliest operators and helped with the initial set up of the networks in the south and east.
She was visited by Beatrice Temple at Halstead on 15 Dec 1941,
