Corporal Alexander Bruce Booth

Biography
Known as Bruce, he was the third of four sons of Francis William and Mrs IC Booth, Monifieth Farmer. He married Marian Meikle on 22 Jan 1946.Their first son was born on 20 Feb 1947 and daughters on 30 Mar 1949 and 8 Nov 1950.
He farmed with his brother William Campbell Booth after the war. They won prizes for their cattle at Brechin show where Bruce also judged.

Other information
Ardestie Earth House, an Iron Age souterrain (underground structure) was uncovered by Bruce Booth on the farm in 1949 and passed to the state after formal excavations, remaining open to the public today.
