Biography
Sergeant Alec Rogers was the second Sergeant of Ugborough Patrol, replacing Sergeant Ough.
Alec was the 7th generation to be born in Holbeton, the family moving to Filham Farm, Ugborough in 1928. He won a scholarship to King Edward VI School in Totnes and then farmed at Filham until 1975. In 1951 he married Elizabeth Hoare and they had 2 children.
Alec was the first secretary of the Ivybridge Young Farmers Club.
