Biography
He married May Varcoe in 1930.
In his early life he served for 12 years in The Royal Horse Artillery. In 1937 he was elected to St Martin Parish Council and remained there until his death. He served on Liskeard Rural Council 1948-1957. He was a manager of St Martin Volunteer Primary School, started St Martin Welcome Home and Memorial Hall Fund being Chairman until 1956. He was largely responsible for raising funds to buy the Hall and add a billiards room.
