Locality
Washford is a village on the Washford River in the civil parish of Old Cleeve, Somerset. It is centred in a valley close to the Bristol Channel on the A39 road 7 miles east of Minehead and 2 miles southwest of the port of Watchet.

Operational Base (OB)
An Auxiliary Units structure was at Lodge Rocks sand quarry. This quarry was filled in after the war with waste paper products from the nearby paper mill, covered over with top soil and then trees were planted on the area. It is now a small overgrown wooded area.
The escape tunnel led out into quarry.
