The hamlet of Sutterby is approximately 9 miles south of Louth and a similar distance east of Horncastle on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds

The OB was located in a wood called Oven's Plantation between Oven's Farm and Sutterby. Thought to be of prefabricated concrete panels and brick.
Sutterby Patrol
Military targets in the area included RAF Spilsby at Great Steeping, RAF East Kirkby, RAF Strubby and Air Armaments School at RAF Manby
Other targets would have been roads to the coast and Ulceby Cross town a major crossroads in the Lincolnshire Wolds area.
The Patrol trained at various Auxiliary Unit H.Q's, Wellingnore Hall and Blankney Hall, both requishioned by the RAF, then to Dalby Hall H.Q.
Some Patrol members went to Coleshill for specialist courses.
They also trained locally on farms of the Patrol members.
