Guardbridge is a village in the north-east of Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. It is approximately 3 miles north-west of St Andrews, and is situated on the estuary of the River Eden.

The Operational Base was set within woodland adjacent to the walled garden of Seggie House owned at the time by Mr G.P. Adam, Managing director of the paper mill nearby and a Major with the 2nd Fife Battalion Home Guard.
The land overlooking parts of Guardbridge and is near to the main rail line and bridge that gives the location its place name.
Guardbridge Patrol
Targets would have included the airfield at Leuchars and rail lines nearby along with the rail bridge crossing the river Eden and road junctions in all directions through the north-east part of the county. Priority was given to Leuchars airfield.
Training was carried out at Melville House where most Patrols in this area trained, run by Regular Scout Section.
Drumcarrow Craig was used at times used for demolition training. Also within the walled grounds of Seggie House late 1940.
Royal Engineers Section lived in a tent in the grounds of the house while constructing the OB.
