Great Elm is located between Mells and Frome, to the North West of Frome.
It is thought Great Elm Patrol was most likely disbanded before stand down as it does not appear in the data recorded by Major Hancock at stand down. There was also a recorded East Woodlands Patrol that was based at Longleat. Some Auxiliers could have been in both or either Patrols.

Operational Base (OB)
The Defence of Britain database has the OB recorded as being in Fussell's Old Ironworks. It is thought to have been at the top of a steep embankment overlooking Fordbury Bottom and the railway line to Whatley Quarry.
