St.Leonards Hotel (Special Duties)

A memorial plaque situated on a pillar to the left of the bar. The plaque describes the Special Duties (West Moors Outstation) cell that operated from this hotel. The cell was run by the landlord, Ted Harvey and Betty the barmaid. There are also preserved signatures of pilots from many nationalities that were stationed in nearby RAF Ibsley and RAF Hurn. At the bottom of the signatures are sketches of Ted and Betty.
