Penllwyn Park, Carmarthen

"Bon y Dre" on Penllwyn Park was the Headquarters for Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire from late 1941.

In April 1946 the property was for sale by auction. The advert reads; " Attractive freehold residence, Bron y Dre, Penllwyn Park; Hall, Dining room, Lounge, Breakfast room, Kitchen, Scullery (H and C), usual Offices, 6 Bedrooms, Dressing room, Box room, Bathroom (H and C), W.C, Electric and Gas, Garage. Recently de-requisitioned by Military and sold with benefit to purchaser to any claim due from the Military. Vacant possession."

Owned by the family of the late John and Jane Phillips, it was available to let in 1939 and was advertised as being in the best residential part of town, in an excellent state of repair and strongly built.
