Field Telephone Set D Mk V

These field telephones were used by Patrols, for communication between their Operational Base (OB) and the Observation post (OP) that was used for watching any enemy movements, etc, eg along a main road - airfield, etc

When in use, they could communicate via the morse key and headset, or the handset for talking. The 2 telephones would be connected by a telephone cable.
