The Guardhouse

The Guardhouse was a check point on the back road up to the stable yard. For Auxiliers visiting Coleshill for training, after a disorientating drive through the local countryside their vehicle would halt at the Guardhouse.  After a brief check it would continue up the hill, past the dove cote, and enter the stable yard where they would be billeted.

Restored by The National Trust in 2011 it now contains visitor information boards and a listening post.
