The Auxiliary Units were allocated to three new Home Guard Battalions in late 1942.
202 (G.H.Q. Reserve) Battalion Home Guard included all Patrols on the East Coast North of the Thames up to Durham and South Wales, Monmouthshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire in the West.
The three battalions are best illustrated on our 1944 stand down map.
